Oey's Gang hosts birthday dinner at Kam Lung Hong Kong Restaurant which serves tasty Thai Chinese exotic dishes. We enjoyed every chopstickful and also the chocolate fudge birthday cake from Kalaprapruerk.

ETC's Belated New Year's Dinner at Bacco

Ex-TISCO hold their belated New Year's Dinner at Bacco by Sergio. All are happy to see each other and chat and eat and drink and be merry. The event also raised Baht 20,000 to be donated to the TISCO Foundation for Charity. Thank you to All!

Khun Ponpimol and Khun Pusadee jointly host their belated birthdays at the Chinese restaurant at the Evergreen Hotel. We were filled with dim sum and suckling pig and Peking duck for lunch.

Karantarat Treats Us Lunch at Jok Kitchen

Khun Karantarat treats us to her very belated birthday lunch at the very famous one table kitchen at "Jok" 's place in the crowded Plaplachai market. The marvelous lunch is enjoyed by all. The place now has a name plate, more than one table and owner-cook "Jok" is now appropriately dressed, as in the top photo with Khun Aor. Reservations are required and it maybe one to two months before an opening is available. However, a late lunch or early dinner at 16:00 are still available. The top photo is the crispy pork stall in the market which formerly marked where "Jok's Kitchen" is located, just directly across the narrow and crowded pathway.

After practicing for several weeks with my new Nikon D 300, this is probably the first real good photo that I have taken with the camera. This is "Tang Moe", our Beagle dog.

Near Camp 1 Lampang we try to make acquaintance with Seedor Thom Yum Kung, a 35 year old male elephant, who is supposed to be quite mean (at least to some field staff).

Plai Sukhum tries to get a drink of cold water from Khun Sukhum, after he has been released by Khun Sukhum and Khun Maevadee Navaphan.

Dr. Sukhum Navaphan , formerly President of the Thai Military Bank for a great number of years, looks healthy and strong for 80 years.

Khun Prasob Thipprasert of the Elephant Conservation Center Lampang and Advisor to the Foundation, seems to be happily cuddling an elephant. Actually, he is talking on the cell phone and doesn't want people to notice.

Today is my last day as National Legislative Assembly member. It has been quite an interesting experience!

The beginning of every year, the TISCO management and TISCO Foundation will come to my house and host a breakfast of "jok". This year we also had a choice of won tun soup.
We wish all a very healthy and successful 2008!
