Valentine's Day Dinner- Ruen Saeng Chan Restaurant
We have a Valentine's Day dinner at Ruen Sang Chan Restaurant in Wang Nam Khiew. The Swedish owner of the establishment personally serves us the spicy fish dish while the chef, formerly with a hotel, works in the kitchen. When we finish dinner it is confirmed that the owner is from Sweden because there is Volvo parked nearby.

Ek, Noke and Pukkie from the ETC Motorcycle Gang rode all the way from Bangkok to Lampang to witness the Elephant Reintroduction ceremony. The last stretch of dirt road was by pickup truck because they didn't want their offroad bikes to get dirty.
Following is email from Ekachai:
Dear Khun Siva,
Thank you for inviting us to witness the elephant reintroduction ceremony last Saturday. The program is so good and I wish there are more people supporting this program.
Every time I passed by an elephant begging on the street of Bangkok, I felt pity for those giant creatures who roam our earth for so long and been in so many important wars for the Kingdom of Siam.
Thank you again for waiting while we were lost. Rangsan sent a map of the other place. Lucky that we met a staff at Doi Pha Mueang Wildlife Conservation center who explain how to access Pang Chang.
We all are very happy to witness the ceremony and hope to see you again soon krub.
Best Regards,
Ekachai

Thon Sai Restaurant- Wang Nam Khiao
Located about half way down Thai Samakkee Road, Wang Nam Khieo, the Thon Sai Restaurant makes excellent traditional Thai "som tham". The spicy wild boar or "moo pah paat ped" was cheered by all. "Pla Tubtim tord Kratiem Priktai" was crispy on the outside and moist and soft inside. "Larp het moo", a mixture of minced pork and the mushrooms famous in Wang Nam Khiew was just right. Of course, we must mention that the minced pork omlette("kai jiew moo sup") was tops!
Thanyaros - Na Dee
The pork's leg on rice at Tanyaros shop in Na Dee, Prachinburi is outstanding and highly recommended to anyone visiting the place, most who come to enjoy the meatball and meat noodle soup it is well known for. It is also due to the attention given by the preparation girl who makes sure each dish has the best selection of pork's leg. The accompanying bowl of consumme is very tasty.

"Simply Red" in Bangkok
Simply Red delivers a resounding concert in Bangkok, the start of their Asian tour and their last concert tour before they disband. Mick Hucknall, lead singer, gave his all and brought the crowd on its dancing feet even though he was very sick with stomach trouble. Even the new Minister of Finance, Korn Chatikavanit, in the aisle row behind us, was standing and singing with his two bodyguards smiling around him. The Bangkok audience gave Mick several rousing ovations, and at the end were polite enough not to clap and cheer for an encore because Mick was too sick to return for an encore.
