Amy Tabeta's Retirement Dinner from Dole Thailand

Khun Banyong Lamsam, Chairman of the Board, hosts retirement dinner for Amy Tabeta at the Chinese Restaurant, Conrad Hotel. Amy has been with Dole Thailand for 38 years.
I met her in 1971 when the company was called Island Canning Co., Ltd and I served as Manager for a couple of weeks when TISCO bought the shares from the Matshuchima family and held them in escrow pending Castle & Cooke's Board approval of the share take over. I also met Amy's husband,Jun Tabeta, at almost the same time. He worked as auditor who audited the financials of TISCO for SGV-Na Thalang auditing firm run by Khun Yukta Na Thalang who held CPA no. 1 , which meant that he was the first person to be certified as public accountant in Thailand.  Standing: Graeme Cox, Banyong Lamsam, Chumpol Na Lamlieng, Mark McKinney,and  Niphon.  Seated: M.L.
