Khun Visut points to large rare trees which were planted in the restaurant. Khun Visut and I worked together as members of the FRAC (Financial Restructuring Advisory Committee) set up by the Ministry of Finance to recapitalize the banks and finance companies hit by the financial crisis of 1997. We were able to push thru the Tier 1 and Tier 2 capital structures with capital injections by the MOF for several institutions including SCB and TISCO. Khun Visut was later sent by the MOF to be Director of TISCO to represent the government's shareownership during the holding period.
